Wait Patiently for the Lord

It's Not Too Late. You're Not Behind

February 27, 20252 min read

I look forward to my quiet time in the morning. I’ve created a morning habit that I love and have been pretty faithful to for many years.

It consists of waking up early (usually before my alarm goes off at 6 am), lighting an amazing scented candle, making my coffee, and sitting down to quietly start my day.

I use apps on my phone to intentionally focus my time on God, meditation, and affirmations. Often during this time I get inspiration for your Weekly Dose of Joy and type out the inspiration that is coming through me.

Most mornings I am on track. However, some days I am called away by other demands or distractions.

Right now, I’m in the midst of planning a large women’s summit and I’m feeling a bit “behind”. The numbers are not rolling in as fast as they have in the past and I have to admit, I’m feeling the crunch. But then I remind myself:

"Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord."

Psalm 27:14

This brings me peace, knowing that everything is unfolding perfectly, even if I can’t see it at the moment.

Let’s focus on knowing that we are not too late, we are not too old, and we are not behind!

I feel a bit anxious

I want my goals to unfold so badly

I want progress to show up now

I feel I’m a bit behind

I feel like I should have started sooner

I feel like I could be doing more, although I’m tired

I don’t like feeling this way

I know in the past when I worried it didn’t really help me.

I am now releasing the need to control the outcome

I am now letting the results unfold the way they will

I can’t control the outcome but I can control how I’m feeling and thinking about it

I am now choosing to believe that it will all work out

It is all working out in perfect timing

It is all working out for me now

It is all working out in my favor

With ease

And peace

And flow

And it is showing up

Right

On

Time

Ah, that feels so much better. I am choosing to release the angst of wanting it so badly and the need to control the “how,” the “who,” and the “when”. I have already set the goal and am taking Joyful Intentional Actions towards it.

That is all I can do.

And that is  ENOUGH.

I Am ENOUGH.
