
Looking Back on Q1 and Ahead to Q2

Whether you are a frequent reader of my weekly JOLTs, or are here for the first time, I thought I'd tell you how they came about, why I put them in use for myself and decided to share them with you.
Like many, I came from corporate America. So, also like many, I dreaded Monday mornings. Actually it started with the Sunday Scaries. Anxiety started kicking in after a weekend off. Ugh, I don’t want to go to work tomorrow. I dread Mondays. This went on until I started working for myself and then I learned to LOVE Mondays because each day I get to show up and do what I love.
Sometimes there are still things that lead me to drag my feet or procrastinate. So I designed my JOLT to help myself and you Joyfully Overcome Limited Thinking!
So first we acknowledge how we are feeling, then we JOLT ourselves into a better feeling energy.

Some Mondays I wake up excited then I get stuck
Some Mondays I am motivated to take action then I don’t
Some Mondays I start out inspired then it wanes
I know I can change how my day is starting
I know I am the one who sets the tone for the day
I like that I have some tools to turn my attitude around
I like that I can close the door and take a break
I know if I’m not feeling it I can take a break from it
I can walk away and do something that brings me joy
I can go for a walk, listen to music, dance or read
I like how I’m my own boss
I like how I don’t have to work traditional hours
I like how I can pick up later when I’m feeling it
I like if I want to work later in my day I can
I like to work when I’m inspired
I like to create when I’m inspired
When I’m in a good mode and feel good it works out
When I feel good first then take action it’s more positive
Feeling good first then taking action results in more yeses
I am choosing to focus on the good in my life
I am choosing to focus on how I am feeling
I am choosing to move forward with more JOY
I am choosing JOY today
I am choosing JOY today
I am JOYful!!
BAM! That is how it is done. That is how easy it is to shift from a “I have to do this…..” to “I get to do this when I feel like it!”
