The Beach Is Calling You

This quote was shared with me by Mary Kay Ash, a pioneer who forged a path for women to be great! I learned so much from her leadership and her amazing example of what it means to have a strong faith. Her company is still going strong after 60 years and long after she left this earth 24 years ago this Thanksgiving Day.

I share this today because it reminds me that when you get nudged to do something and it is a burning desire, you should take action towards it. Not having all the details in front of you, but with faith and belief that if you were given the vision, the “how to” will be revealed to you.

I’m so busy

I have so much going on

I don’t have time to do anything for myself

My kids need me

My grandkids need me

My business is so demanding

I haven’t taken a vacation in a long time

I can’t take time off now or everything will fall apart

I can’t afford to invest in myself

That would be selfish with all I have going on

Who am I to think I can pull this off?

Everyone depends on me

Wait a minute

Isn’t this why I created my own business?

Aren’t I my own boss?

Can’t I be the one to determine my days off?

Yes…I know that when I relax and take time it pays off

Yes…I know that this retreat sounds lovely

Yes…I know this is probably just what the Dr. ordered

Yes…I am excited to think of spending a whole day planning, learning, executing and enjoying the beauty of it all

I’m saying YES to me

I deserve to say YES to me
